Projects

JaME // Since 2004, I've been working for JaME, a website that promotes Japanese music across the globe. We're available in various languages, and offer an enormeous load of information on J-music. I am the manager of the English versions, and lead the English team. Next to managing the UK and US versions of the site, I also take care of a lot of press relations, contact with managements, and so on. Of course, you will also find many interviews, live reports, reviews, biographies and more written by me on the site.

JRock NL // JRock NL is a foundation my colleague and me are running. We organize concerts and other Japanese music events in the Netherlands (JRock NL Con). We take care of the whole process in the Netherlands, from A to Z. Through the years, we have worked with many well-known Japanese rock artists such as miyavi, Kagrra,, Plastic Tree, Ayabie, D=OUT and so on. In 2007, I also worked as a tour manager for a European tour with two J-rock bands.

Pink Elephant Game // This platform game was actually a school assigment. It's created in Flash, and programmed in Actionscript 2.0. It took me a very long time to create it seeing as my programmer skills are rather poor. In order to make it a bit more fun, I decided to give it a colorful look featuring a jumping pink elephant :3

Travel Reports // I enjoy travelling a lot and often write reports about my trips. This section will soon contain report of my trips to Ireland in 2003, Japan in 2006 and 2008.

Illustrator // Adobe Illustrator is a software that I enjoy working with from time to time. Vectors are still a little frustrating to me, but it makes the end result more satisfying. Here are a few graphics I've made with Illustrator: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05.

Japanese Reggae // One of my passions is Japanese reggae. Seeing as many people don't know this musical genre can also be found in the country, I did some research and created a series of articles about Japanese reggae. Next to an article explaining the history and characteristics of J-reggae, you can find a few interviews and around 15 reviews.
