I swapped addresses with a few people and bought a few postcards. I wasn’t really paying attention I guess because I only realized afterwards that it had to relate to your local area… However, no one complained haha!
This is what I sent:
After a few weeks, I have received these cards from my awesome Tweak Today friends :D
Perhaps it sounds a bit silly, but this is the first thing I came up with. It’s the musical group The Eccentric Opera. They first got me into Japanese music, which became an important part of my life seeing as I started to work in this scene. I also got a whole lot of friends because of the mutual interest in Japanese music.
I’d say “become fluent in Japanese and Spanish,” but I’m actually learning those two languages so I guess they don’t really count any more. There are a few more languages I want to learn, but I also want to learn how to properly play the guitar. I actually have a guitar and can play some random melodies and solos on it, but I don’t get much further than that…
The name ‘Mithredat’ actually comes from Persia: the treasurer of King Syrus was called this way. Silly me forgot to attach the last H but I like it better that way. I don’t really use it as a nickname though (no one calls me that way), but rather as a user name for about a million of things.
Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of The Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods; Even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah” (Ezra I:7-8)
I really wonder how the camera shut itself down after I finished the bit, it stops after the song while I didn’t edit it. Anyway, bonus points if you can tell me the name of the composer and the title, especially because I forgot what it’s named myself :D
Hi stranger! This is Kay's music weblog, where she will discuss artists she likes and thinks you should listen to, concerts she's been to and anything else related to music.
Kay likes to listen to music from all over the world, especially the stuff that never gets played on the radio. Even though she works for the Japanese music website JaME, this weblog is not solely dedicated to Japanese artists as it also features a large amount of non-Japanese/Asian music. Don't forget to comment! :D
