I have never been to any African city, but I’d love to go to Morocco some day. Who’ll come with me? :D
A Japanese compass. It’s not really a souvenir but something I bought for myself. It was only 100 yen in one of the famous 100 yen stores, and I got it because it’s recommended to have a compass with you when you go hiking. I didn’t have to use it though, I managed not to get lost for a change!
I remember my mom having this various artists CD including Kaoma’s Lambada when I was young. I really loved it to pieces and had her play it over and over. Later, I found out that it’s a cover Los Kjarkas, an Andean pop/folk band from Bolivia. I went to look it up on YouTube, and then got slightly obsessed with Los Kjarkas. Funny thing is that with this version of Llorando se fue, the singer suddenly starts singing in Japanese, which was a really weird coincidence. Apparently they made this version for some Japanese event they performed on.
About 300 to 400 CDs. They’re all promotional CDs sent to JaME, waiting to be reviewed some day. In the mean time, they’re gathering dust underneath my bed…
I guess it’s this, this Spanish book of poetry by a Jewish poet. My Spanish teacher got it when we were in Toledo, and I borrowed it from her. Some of it is quite easy to understand for me, other parts make no sense whatsoever.
The orange fuzzy thingie is a little mascot for the world-cup I got at the supermarket :D
I didn’t think I had a favorite glass until today. I got this when I was a child, from a man who was supposed to engrave a mirror for us or something like that. When we went to his house to pick it up, he said it wasn’t finished yet. It would be finished within an hour, so he told us to go shopping in the meantime. To make up for the long wait, he asked me my name and engraved this glass for me. I have only used it once because I’m afraid I’ll break it or something, so I just use it to put pins in.
This was an easy one, I chose Yakushima, an island in the South of Japan. I went here in December 2008 and I really would like to go back some time. I just love the forests, the waterfalls and the sea over there.
Hi stranger! This is Kay's music weblog, where she will discuss artists she likes and thinks you should listen to, concerts she's been to and anything else related to music.
Kay likes to listen to music from all over the world, especially the stuff that never gets played on the radio. Even though she works for the Japanese music website JaME, this weblog is not solely dedicated to Japanese artists as it also features a large amount of non-Japanese/Asian music. Don't forget to comment! :D
